Sterile air filters
3-Stage Sterile Air Filter Systems
Safeguard your food processing operation from the contamination hazards of rust, pipescale, water, oil, and microorganisms. In 3 Stage point-of use filteration systems the first 2 stages are designed to remove contaminats at a very high efficiency up to 99.99% for 0.01 micron particles and droplets. Liquid released from the filter cartridges to automatic drains as rapidly as it enters the filter. This allows the filters to continue removing liquids for an unlimited time without loss of eddicency or flow capacity.
The 3rd and final stage of filtration removes all viable organisms with an efficiency rating of 99.9999+% at .01 microns.
Filters are available in 1/4" to 1-1/2" port sizes in either 304 stainless steel or aluminum with a durable powder coating designed to hold up to the dirtiest compressed air systems. The stainless steel filters are also compatible with CIP steam cleaning processes.
CAMTU Compressed Air Microbial Test Unit
The CAMTU compressed air microbial test unit identifies sources of contamination in compressed air. Compressed air is used in a broad range of applications in the food processing industry, such as mixing of ingredients, cutting, sparging, drying of product, transporting/propelling product through processing systems and packaging of final product. In many of these applications, compressed air is in direct contact or indirect contact with food product. The impurities in the compressed air may contaminate the food product which can result in change of color and taste, reduced shelf life, in addition to exposure to bacteria and other micro-organisms, can result in product recalls.
Features and Benefits:
Steam Filters for Food Industry
Parker Balston Steam Filters are in full compliance with the requirements of the US Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and meet the regulations for Indirect Food Additives used as Basic Components for Repeated Use Food Contact Surfaces as specified in
21 CFR, Part 177, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices, 21 CFR, Part 110. These filters have also been accepted by the USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants and are in full compliance with the 3A Accepted Practices (Number
609-04) for producing steam of culinary quality.
Additionally, they are in full compliance with the requirements of the Health Protection Branch of Health and Welfare Canada. Parker Balston Steam Filters may be used with steam, air, and other gases which directly contact food and food ingredients, including milk, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic liquids.
Parker Balston Steam Filters eliminate particulate contamination of food products caused by direct contact with dirty steam. Other benefits include: reduction in steam condensate mixing with food products when steam is used for agitating, mixing, or cooking; eliminating taste and odor problems by reducing boiler feed water carryover; and reduced maintenance requirements.
Features & Benefits
Remove 98+% of 0.01 micron particles and 100% of all visible particles
Remove liquid condensate at the same efficiency as for solid particles
Remove essentially all nonvolatile boiler feed water additives
Comply with USDA, USDA, Health Protection Branch of Health and Welfare Canada, and 3-A accepted practices
Stop carryover of boiler feed water chemicals
Nitrogen Generators for Food Packaging
Balston offer a variety of sizes and technologies depending on you specific demands. We offer Membrane, PSA, Mono-Bed, and Dual-Bed nitrogen generators, and are able to produce up to 99% pure nitrogen using compressed air.
